My first award winning photo!
I have been a photographer for only about 18 months now. I submit some of my work to a website called railpictures.net. Recently i submitted a photo that took home the #1 Peoples Choice Award for photos submitted the previous week. It beat out almost 900 other photos for that honor, and the fact that contributors to the site voted for it means even more to me. Hopefully for me, it is the first of many award winning shots.

It was shot with a Nikon D40X, with the 18-55 kit lens, f5, iso 100 at 1/1600 of a second. It was shot at roughly 7am in Cassandra, PA.
