This is supposed to be site for photographers at all levels. It should be about quality not quantity of photos you are uploading. All photos that are taken are not good. I have litterally hundreds of photos in my collections that I would not make public because they are bad or not quite completed. Are some photographers so desperate for public attention that they will upload anything just to get attention? C'mon now let get real. Quality must be the goal, photography is a art let not cheapen this site by uploading thousands and thousands of photo sthat should have never made it out of our computers.
I think part of the problem is, people nowadays seem to have much thinner skin...any real critique or criticism of their images tends by some to be taken personally..and they get their panties in a wad over it....
As far as uploading every photo you have...why not take the time and really look at your images, would you want to see them hanging on your own wall...would you spend the money to have them printed?...if not why?
submit for critique yes, but only your best...most can tell the difference between a snapshot and a photograph..
I would hope and think that the site is open to all and we can be free to post as we please. As I read the ones who hope to limit people, I'm starting to think some are full of themselves.
You have a right to look at others work or not, if you feel you don't like their work I would suggest not looking or commenting on it.
I have been a long standing member of another photo site and I have made many friends and enjoy comments. I have also blocked people(Porn web posted pic's) and do not view what I care not to view. That said I hope this site does turn out to be an open forum and yes a place to learn and grow our photo skills.
