The Photography Network - PictureSocial

I've just started a group where you can post your unaltered photos for discussion. I like the idea of photographs being a captured moment... where the image is exactly what you saw through the viewfinder.
So, these should be photographs before post-production... that is, the original files from the camera where nothing has been cloned-out, added in, brightened, darkened, enhanced or altered in any way. Cropping and rotation is okay but that's all. Look forward to seeing your raw efforts :-D

i wish my firework shots turned out like that
I like that.. it makes a change from the multiple exposure shots (which do normally look spectacular). This one is a study of a single burst of fireworks and you can follow the progress of it from those which have exploded to those just lighting up and finally, on the right, those about to ignite.

shot in grove city ohio. 3-4 months ago. i got some gret shots that night
I didn't think to add my own pics to this forum messgage (I stuck them in the group message thread). So here are my two...

Either of these photos would make a fine large scale wall hanging, my personal favorite is the first one but they are both stunning photos.

Beer anyone? ;-) Here it is, straight from the camera! ;-D Click for original size, might be a bit bulky since I didn't resize at all! :-) Took this one with the Nikon D40X...
Nice photo... lots of atmosphere. Hmmm... It's making me look forward to my liquid-lunch, today. Only 3 hours to go :-)

Tea anyone? ;-) Click for original size, huge I tell ya...
Oh, when I said 'raw efforts' I just meant photographs which have not been manually manipulated with editing software (although cropping and rotation is okay). If the camera or RAW/JPG conversion happens to make changes then that's not really a concern for this topic. I was just hoping to see pictures which have not been improved so all the elements of the original scene are still there, nothing has been added or taken away, cloned out, brightened, darkened or otherwise tampered with. To see photographs where the scene captured doesn't need further work. Obviously, there's a lot to be said for improving and altering photographs with editing software and creates a different type of art but I wonder whether people now take less effort in shooting a photograph because they know they can make it look good when they get home.

There, an unaltered duck ;-) Click for original size :-) But again, huge!
I'm probably stirring a nest of hornets here, but no guts, no glory! All of the enclosures were shot from the same location, same lighting, directly from the same camera, no cropping. Which one is the real deal?
