I just wanted everyone to know that I welcome critiques and suggestions...I know how very amatuer I am at this for now and I would welcome your suggestions...don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. :) It is also great if you tell me what I am doing right so I am more aware of my strengths. Thanks all..hope you're having a fabulous week!!

Deidre,

Remember the old saying...Be careful what you ask for...
Hi Mike!
LOL Thanks! I am not easily offended. I started a photography course this past Thursday. It is amazing. My instructor is amazing..I love it. I have a homework assignment,I like doing nature shots, the weather is crappy...lol...
I can be the worst judge of my work, so I also appreciate constructive criticism of my work. I like to know where I could use improvement and what I might have done right!
Exactly Mona! Especially since this was a passion of mine as a teenager before the digital age and I was spending all of my money on film and developing then an early pregnancy and life got in the way. Ohter than family and friend photos this is my first time really picking the camera back up in 23 years. I could already tell from my very first class that I am going to learn a lot about what I can do to improve my shots and this is a short class. I am very excited about going full time this fall and getting some formal training.
I can understand about life getting in the way. Even with a "24 hour schedule (LOL)" I still find time to fit in photography. I used to do some film photography but it was too expensive for me at the time. Since I picked up a digital, the "shutter bug" has infected me!

Keep snapping, lady!
Hi Deidre, there is now group called "Photo Criticism" that you can join where people only give comments about what can be better with certain photos.
Thanks for that info Trisha..I will join in..

Janna, For the wedding photography in particular, I am comfortable with 10mm-22mm lens because of groups and confined spaces and it also costs around $800.  For your question in particular, I used TAMRON and SIGMA, found SIGMA slightly better.…
