Hey everyone, I am looking to get a new Zoom lens, and have been looking at the one in the title. I currently have the similar lens just without the VR. Has anyone used the 70-300 VR Nikkor lens? Is it worth spending the money on it?

I personally have used the VR option on a 300 mm prime nikon lens on a D2xs and it worked amazing. The shots were very sharp and looked great. It seems to be a wonderful feature Nikon has implemented into their lenses...
I have used it too, but it was a very early VR lens, like they say "its better to get old technology later in the game than new technology early in the game" im just hoping it would be a good jump up from the 70-300mm that I have now. Im sure it is but I still have to ask my peers for your opinions.
