Firstly i want to kno the difference between nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.8D and nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.8G.
unable to figure out the D and G
AF-s signifies an inbuilt motor if i am not wrong.
Secondly, i recently bought a sigma telephoto of 300mm 4.5-5.6 DG macro.
i wonder how the macro works in a telephoto as the working distance is min of 1 metre.
thank you all in advance.

The macro does work on the lens but it will not give you a true 1:1 reproduction, I believe it is something like 1:3. You can get some good close ups but that is about it. You could buy some extension tubes, they will allow you to get closer than 1 metre and you will learn about close up photography
