I know what you mean. It was honestly just an attempt to mess with sun coloring. The contrast is so low because yes, the sun is behind him. So it was done on purpose, and I appreciate your critique a lot. I'm trying to find out which ones are liked more, so that definitely helps. :)

DSC 9776 jpg was the best of the three pics. The color, lighting, and contract were very good.

tatooed arm.....ur model is fine...good expression and a good pose.
DSC0317...good experiment....shooting in side lighting is the life of the covered portrait.
first photo is also a good conversion to b&w.....only thing distracting is the unnecessary light on top of head at left.
