I have been playing around in photoshop and applied a filter of sorts and I am unable to duplicate the color of this first shot. The closest I have come is to the brown picture.  To get to the brown picture I clicked on filter, then adjustments, gradient map and hit reverse then applied the brown color.

Does anyone know how I got this color...I sure hope so.

Thank you for your help.

It might be useful to also post the original shot before you applied the "filter of sorts." Someone may then be able to guess how to recreate the effect.

Mike :)
have you triied the photoshop group?
Hi Linda, if i understand your question right (and i'm no expert on PS and i only use Elements 6), but it looks to me like you used the 'Simple' filter on Grad Map by clicking the arrow on the right of the bar that first comes up when selecting Grad Map, then clicking on the double arrow on the next box that comes up, then selecting 'Simple' (somewhere near the bottom of the list). This gives several different coloured options similar in effect to both those above here. The process might be different between PS and Elements though !. Hope this helps. Steve.
