Alien bees?

So I want to buy my first studio lights and I'm trying to decide which route to go. I've decided I do not want to go with continuous lighting. I have been looking into getting 2 ab800 units. I was also looking at something equivalent through promaster. The promasters are less expensive but I don't want to buy something cheap that I will eventually not have a use for. I have no experience using studio lights but I want to learn using something that is reliable and of good quality. Any opinions are appreciated.
