Batching Photos With Watermarks (Please Read, I Need Help!)

Does anyone know where I can find a photo-batch software that allows watermarking on multiple images?
I'm sick of doing it one by one =/

oh and also could someone please tell me how to use the Automate option in Photoshop for multiple saving PSD's?

Thanks.

Calvin,
Photoshop is what you can use. You have to set up some actions to do your repetative tasks then use the automate option to accomplish them.

First you have to set up your actions. To do this have the photos you want to work on open then:
- Go to "Window," "Actions" (or Alt+F9). This opens the 'Actions' box.
- Create a new set (Leave the default actions alone) by clicking on the folder on the bottom bar.
- After creating the new set, create a new 'action' by clicking the icon to the right of the set folder on the bottom bar.
Here is where you record the tasks you want to complete on each photo. Once you click on 'Record' every task you take on a photo is recorded in the new 'action.'
After you complete the task(s) you want to preform make sure you stop the recording by clicking the stop button on the bottom bar to the left of the red record button.

Now your new action is ready to use. You can either 'play' the recording on any currently selected photo one at a time or you can use the "automate" function to run the saves action on a group of photos.

Easiest way to accomplish your desire to watermark a group of photos is to open all the photos you want to watermark and (after recording your watermarking actions), open the Actions box (Alt+F9) and click on the watermarking action you recorded earlier. Next, select from the menu bar "File," "Automate," "Batch."

The 'Batch" dialog box will open with the 'Set' and 'Action' areas showing the set and action you clicked on in the Actions dialog window.

Under 'Source,' select "Opened Files." Then select other options as you desire. Just be very careful if a save is part of your recorded action. You don't want to overwrite your original photo file (ALWAYS work on a COPY of the file).

Hope this helps. This is a really down and dirty explaination of the actions and automate fuctions.

Mike :)
