Hi!

I am looking into creating a website and have no idea how to go about this. If you have a website, what site did you go through, who built it, etc? Any infor on this would be helpful!

Thanks!

Hi there, I use a company called photium (www.photium.com). I found it very easy to set up and is very easy to maintain. The level of support from them is brilliant, any day of the week. You also get to set up a demo website to see if you like their system first. It is very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!.
Thanks
Mark
Thank you! I am going to check this out now. :)
Purchased my domain name through Yahoo small business... set up my site at zenfolio... directed my domain name to my zenfolio site.

I would rather spend my time with shooting and editing then messing with the website. Zenfolio gives me a great look with little to no fuss.

i am not an expert but wordpress used normally for blogs is a quick and good tool to create your own website...
One that I liked is at www.wix.com. It gives a great layout, with flash capabilities while making it so simple to use. The tutorials are easy to walk through as you go, or they have premade websites that you can edit with your material. The best part is that it is dirt cheap for what you want to do, in some cases, completely free, as long as you don't mind the web banners. Check it out.
I use wix too, though I seem to make a new website every time I find something better (and free) than what I currently have. It is a nice free site, easy to create, and the banners aren't too obtrusive. That said, I am considering moving to Zenfolio because it would make it much easier to sell my images in the future throught mpix and because I will get more options..
YES WIX IS GREAT! I also use ning.com, they offer a pretty easy way to setup your own social network site.
I've just finished my site and am using Zenfolio for print sales (Suzanne Scott Photography). I use Wordpress for my blog (ImpudentGirl) and have hosting through Dream Host. I was able to create a custom theme on Zenfolio without any coding knowledge. For my blog I hired someone to customize it because I found it difficult to find a theme that I was able to customize to the extent that I wanted without knowing anything about CSS. Hope that helps!
I use wordpress for my blog and I know they have several photoblog templates, so that you wouldn't have to get into too much nitty-gritty of CSS and such. However it wouldn't be just simple drag and drop, and depending on your level of computer know how, you might be lost/frustrated with the customization and installation required. WP required that you have your own server and get a domain and stuff like that.

If you want a simpler version of a website, there are several free or cheap options online that you can easily sign up for, and they look great. The above suggestions are all fantastic.
Thanks everyone! im currently using wordpress ut may switch tio wix. Checking it out now!
I'm in the process of making my own, A company called one.com will be hosting it, very cheap hosting and offer great gallerys
Let me know when it is done and ill check it out :)
