canon and nikon flash units working together

Maybe your answer will be so obvious, but anyway I'll make the question, I have a Nikon SB800 and a Canon 580SX, I am using a Canon EOS MKII and I would like to know if there is any way to use both flash units in a studio setup, ona as slave and the other as a master? thanks for the time. See ya!

They can work together, using the sb as a slave, or with wireless trigger.
