heylo
my camera (canon xsi ) got a bug stuck in the eyehole piece behind the glass somehow and i see little bolts where i can unscrew (so that i can take the bug out of there) but should i take the chance or take it to a camera shop? i think i still have warranty on the canon so would it cover it?does any body know?
your predicament is quite funny. just for laghs how did you suceed in putting a bug there. Just take it to the service station and be nice to the person behind the counter and they usually clean it and give it without charging. if the warranty is on then it will cover it. provided you do not tell them that you put the bug there ! and please do not try- do it yourself kit unless you are sure that if it does not work or something goes wrong then you can afford to throw the camera away and get yourself a new one
well its not like i wanted the bug there, i left it on the table while i was at a BBQ and next thing i know it got inthere somehow....and i think it would be hard taking it apart because i dont think its only the eyepiece that unscrews at the same time :[
Take it to a repair facility. Any competent camera repair shop can fix it. DON"T TRY IT YOURSELF. I use to work in a professional camera store with repairs. Any time you take a camera apart you almost always end up buying a new camera to replace the one that was taken apart. By the way, I enjoy the picture of the Golden retriever in you photographs. Is it yours. I have one that is five. She is my fourth golden. They are the sweetest natured dogs in existence!
yeah I guess im going to have to find a camera shop .. really hope that i dont have to pay for it out of my pocket..and if i do hope its not over 100$..
haha yeah its my goldie hes about 9 years old he is a sweetie, one hella horn dog as well. :P
My golden's name is Calypso. It means sea goddess and she was named in honor of Jaques Cousteau's boat. I also have two border collies so we have a very canine household. If the camera is under warranty it wold be wise to check that the repair shop is certified by the manufacturer. Other wise the warranty may be voided.
