Color variation from my Photoshop to web

Can someone tell me why, when I work on a photograph in Photoshop, color correct it using adobe bridge so it looks warm and saturated then size it to 6x4 at 240dpi save it as a JPEG and email it to a friend she then posts it on her facebook profile, I see it using the very same monitor I colour corrected with, it looks awful!...
Do I need to change it from RGB to CMYK , save it differently???
I'm having a website developed and the landing page has two images of mine on it but the colors are off as well. My graphic designer hasn't responded yet to my question of why the color shift in the web, So I'm shootin' this off to all you experts out here in picturesocial :D Thanks!

ALL is Adobe RGB, camera setting, Photoshop assigned working spaces etc.

The web is sRGB. Shoot and process in Adobe RGB, but as your last step go to Edit>Convert To Profile>sRGB. If you are ordering C-prints you should be doing this too.

When you wish to publish on the web, save the last photo as sRGB. Otherwise keep all pictures as RGB.
It could also be your computer screen needs calibrating.

Hmmm,
if your camera and your editing software are working in the adobe 98 colour space and u send an emailed image assigned with that colour space to your friend, i'm not surprised it looks awful on the net where apart from colour savvy browsers such as firefox etc, everything is viewed as srgb..
After all your enhancing, colour correction in photoshop etc has been done, save one copy of your image for the web by "converting to profile - srgb" ... i use CS4,

It doesn't really matter what color space your original image is in when you want to use it for the web. To save an image for the web go to FILE > SAVE FOR WEB & DEVICES (If PS says the file is too large, click YES to proceed anyway. You should be fine as I use an 18 MP camera and it always works) then select the "Convert to sRGB" Radio Button on that dialog. You'll probably want to use JPG and click on Optimized there as well. Then click SAVE. A dialog will pop up to give you a way to name your file and where to save it.
