I enjoy looking at your photos, so thank you for sharing them. Your first photo is extremely beautiful, but next time when shooting something with an object (in your case a bench) and a scenic background, try to use that object to lead your eye to that background. Focus on your lines and where they lead. Be aware of parallel and perpendicular lines to start out with. Overall, great shot.
Your second photo is great. I love how you have singled out that one tree... a decaying tree. The contrast in colors is a wow. You have a bright, vibrant blue sky contrasting a beige, lifeless ground. One suggestion with this photo, there is a bush that is to the right of the tree, it's a little bothersome. My eyes seem to not like that it keeps focusing on that one bush. Try plugging this photo into photoshop if you have it. You could probably eliminate the bush completely.
And your third photo, I love it. It's a very dull photo but the light that is shining from behind the glass makes it luminous. The only thing that bothers me about this shot is the bar that the bouquet is hanging from is slightly curved a little more on the right side than the left. I almost wish that bar was straight and perpendicular to the vertical lines.
I love how all of your photos have one main subject. The bench that someone or some couple will sit on and enjoy the view, the tree that everyone seems to have passed by and never noticed but yet you did, and the bouquet of flowers that someone received that made them feel so special that now they don't want to throw them away... or at least thats the story I get.
Overall, great job! Keep taking photos and I can't wait to see more :) Hope this helps
Wow! Thanks for your opinion! The way you described my photos and what was I possibly thinking when I took the pictures were pretty accurate. It sounded like we were looking at the them through the same eye when they were taken. I don't have photo shop. I may get it soon, although I like leaving my pictures the way they were originally. I like keeping it lo-tec! I will post more pictures later today.
No problem! And when you said " It sounded like we were looking at them through the same eye when they were taken," --- We'll thats the beauty of photography, you are able to make your audience see what it is that you see or what you want them to see. That's why I love it.
I too am a fan of keeping photos the way they are, thats why I love the dark room so much... Have you ever worked in one? It's my absolute favorite place to be.
