Consumer Electronics Show (CES)

CES is about to begin in the US, and all of our camera companies will be introducing new toys for the new year. Samsung, Kodak and Fuji have already made their announcements.. with many more expected in today and tomorrow. You will be able to find complete coverage at places like Cameratown and DPReview.

So, does anything your brand is announcing excite you? Any new must-have camera, feature or accessory moving you to open your wallets and purses?

You can also watch CES live on G4tv if you have that channel. It's channel 191 if you're on Dish Network. I'm pretty excited

I, like many DSLR shooters, have been looking for a point and shoot camera that I can use when it is just not practical to drag my gear around with me. I have not been even close to satisfied with point and shoot images since I moved up to a DSLR, so it ha been a challenge to find that camera.

I think that Olympus may have found the right balance of image quality and portability with their new XZ-1. Olympus avoided the temptation of a high mega-pixel camera and stepped back to 10MP... this should allow for excellent low-light response.Add the cool stuff like HD video.. looks like I found my point and shoot!
