Does anyone know how to set the date to appear in photographs automatically without the need of any software afterwards? I'd be happy to learn that. I use two cameras, FE-310 a compact one and E-410 a DSLR.
If you are talking about the date time stamp in the corner, Olympus cameras do not do that... at all. You would have to use third party software. Olympus has always stood on the principle that it ruins a photo and have steadfastly refused to put that feature in their cameras... even point and shoot cameras.
Thank you very much for this valuable information. Otherwise I'd be looking for ways to put that date stamp in. My last Ricoh compact film camera has this facility. I don't use it any more.
If you are interested, here is a program that I found that will QUICKLY go through a folder of images and automatically add date and time.. as well as some additional text if desired (like a name, or location..) It can also resize or make minor adjustments like brightness or saturation. Cost is $30. (I am not affiliated with this company in anyway.. I bought the software before I had Photoshop.)
