I photograph conventions where I need to post hundreds of my shots each day, so participants can see them the next day, and order them. I burn them to a DVD & take to 1 hour Wallgreens for 4X6 proofs, then glue them to tri-fold science boards & stand them on tables. Is there a BETTER way? How do you display your images at such an event for sale? I have a nifty photoshop action that superimposes the filename over the image corner when printed at the 1 hour shop, so the participants can easily order them.
5 or more people at a time might be looking at any given time.
Any insights for doing this more efficiently would be appreciated.
Exactly! Makes sense alright... Now any suggestions how to do this if you need several people at a time to see the images, and to be able to see them fairly soon after shooting them? I can not assume the conventioneers have computers to see them online, but would need me to provide any viewers (that accommodate multiple people at a time) to them at the ordering booth.
I don't know what your budget is, and I'm not a techie by any stretch of the imagination. However, I notice very low prices on electronic notebooks. Find a way to secure them to the display area and they could order online right their by making up a network of them and a desktop. Another idea would be to get a very large screen T.V. and have them all up there at once with the numbers on them. There are probably 20 different methods if you can just figure them out.
