The Photography Network - PictureSocial

I have a minor problem. I am field trip coordinator for our camara club. We have a mix of DSLR's and point and shot cameras. I am comfadent I can teach DSLR shooters to take fireworks  pictures, but I need pointers on how to teach point and shoot owners to catch fireworks

My wife's point & shoot camera has a fireworks setting. You put the camera on a tripod, set it to Fireworks, point it in the correct direction and release the shutter when the fireworks launch. Release the shutter again for the next launch. It works pretty well.

As with most photography, if they take lots of photos during the show, some will be good, others not so much.
