Hello Betsy, just saw your status asking about Photomatix. I have tried it for a few HDR's of mine own (not posted on this site) and I have to say it works great. It's simple, easy to use, and cheap. I reccomend it.

I use it, as well as the HDR routine in Elements 8. Both need fine tuning after default settings, but of the two, Photomatrix is easier to use, but you still have to go into PS for sharpening.
I also have used it and like it. Easy and does a good job.
Hi, I use Photomatix all the time. It is really great BUT you have to be carefull not to over-tonemap (unless that is the look you want). I have a Nikon so when I bracket I take 5 or 7 images (Nikon only brackets +/- 1ev). I highly recoment the product. Gary
hmm.. nikon only brackets at 1 ev? really? i could of swore i can bracket at 2ev.. my camera's not on me but.. interesting.. Anyways.. i love Photomatrix! easy to use!!!! :)
Photomatix is a great program and worth the money. It's more user friendly than the straight photoshop HDR processing tool and give you more control over a multitude of features. CS5 is coming out in a few days though so you might want to wait and see if the new CS5's HDR features handle HDR better before making the decision. Photomatix is $100. So, if you end up getting CS5 and the HDR processor is better, you will want to kick yourself.

Just a thought!
