just wanted to introduce myself to the photog community.
background in a nutshell: probably like a lot of you i grew up on film cameras, and after i bought my first digital camera 5 years i discovered the advantages of the number of pictures being limited only by the size of the memory card. however, that meant i was taking MORE pictures - and hoping one or two captured my idea - but not necessarily BETTER pictures. recently i purchased my first DSLR-like camera, and am now on the path to understanding how to use camera to my advantage, and for the effect i want.
that path has led me to this site and this community, and i thank all of you who have posted questions (some of which i also had) and those who have posted answers (muchas muchas gracias), because you have immeasurably shortened my learning curve in all the shades of photography. and the posted photos are fantastic, i always find a photo that catches my eye and make me say "COOL!!!", or "i wanna do that!".
