High School Graduation

Hello, our schools photography club wants to generate money so we can keep on going so we decied maybe we should do a fund raiser from our seniors graduation. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions in general, maybe some different types of shots, maybe how to sell the photos. Would be greatly appreciated for any ideas, thank you

Well as i've photographed many crossing the stage grad's i suppose i'll help out!

The most popular shot that parents want is the handing of the diploma. So the best way we shoot this is by setting up a camera preferably a telephoto lens with a low aperture rating (2.8 or even a 1.4) Since you won't be using flash about 90% of the time. Unless it's outside. We also cover video coverage just for naming issues. Considering your in the school that won't really be needed. Just photograph each child as they get the diploma and a shot of them walking on the stage. I put them on a proofing website, at the graduation i also put a booth up with plenty of business cards giving access to this site. If there's going to be a couple other students working along side of you, candid shots would be a plus, couldn't hurt. Any questions let me know.

Thanks for the info. The graduation for our school is going to be outside, and I heard that it is going to start at 8:30pm... we are going to have a total of either 3 or 4 photographers. So did you sell the prints online?
