I love the second photo of the flower the most. There is a great amount of detail, and although the right side is a little dark I enjoy the contrast of the image and the colours. I might try and see if there is any details on the dark sides of the leaves and lighten only those few spots a little tiny bit.
But, you can't learn with all compliments! The photo of the horse is pretty good, but the cropping at the top is a little distracting (how it cuts off at the horse's mane). The blue of the sky looks a little strange, I'm not sure if you adjusted the colour too much or over sharpened (these are just my guesses because you can see some haloing around the tree branches). I would also try to bring more attention to the horse's eye by lightening it up a bit, but thats really just a minor detail. It looks like you have lots of details in all the photo though, so it still has lots of potential!
The last photo looks a little dull, maybe bump up the contrast a little bit. The sky is also really blown out, which could be from editing or because it was over exposed when you took it.

Of course, these are suggestions only if you are trying to get traditionally nice, "appealing" photography, which not everyone wants. So, take everything with a grain of salt.
Thank you Katie, I love your insight! I appreciate the input, I will take the suggestions and see how they look..thanks much..K
Thank you Katie, your feedback is appreciated,
My humble opinions:
1st photo: a nice moment, shutter speed looks enough to capture the move. Quite right angle but little bit too dark, you may averaging with LR. I suggest to have wider frame.
2nd photo: what is the concept?
3rd photo: good idea - tried to capture pattern, wasn't it? the execution might not in the right time, too many people on the frame, too low angle, etc. Wider lens, low speed shutter (<1.6s) at evening, may give the fantastic result. I wish ...
Cheers,
Thank you Hecky..appreciate the input..K
Hello,

I to like the first photo the best. Sure there are things I would adjust in lightroom, but overall it is a nice shot. The second shot of the flowers I just could not find the focal point. What was it you were trying to show here. I also agree that the second shot would have been better if you could see all the way to the end. The people just obscured the view. Just my opinion.. ;)

Thanks,
Earl

Uneeb Ullah Malik replied to Janna Slaback's discussion 'CANON 24-70mm f/2.8 vs TAMRON SP AF 17-50mm' in the group Canon User Group
Janna, For the wedding photography in particular, I am comfortable with 10mm-22mm lens because of groups and confined spaces and it also costs around $800.  For your question in particular, I used TAMRON and SIGMA, found SIGMA slightly better.…
