The Photography Network - PictureSocial

Hi Everyone,

PictureSocial now has a new photo slideshow player if you didn’t notice. This new slideshow viewer allows you to embed it anywhere on the internet (such as your personal website, blog, or another social network profile). There are also new options to view the slideshow thumbnails and adjust the slideshow speed.

If you have uploaded photos to this site, a free slideshow of your photos is already available for you to embed anywhere you like to share with others. If you do not know how to embed a slideshow of your photos on another site, here is a quick tutorial:

1. Click on the “Badges” link at the bottom of your screen.
2. Scroll down to the Photo Slideshow Widget.
3. Click the button that says “Copy HTML Code”
4. Now paste that code on another site where you want the slideshow to be displayed.
5. That’s it!

If you would like to specifically choose which of your photos are displayed in the slideshow and in what order, you may want to create a specific album for your slideshow photos. Any photos that you organize into albums create a unique slideshow.

To get the slideshow HTML of one of your photo albums, here is what you do:

1. Click on the “My Page” link.
2. Click on “Photo Albums” link below your profile photo.
3. Click on the album you would like to show.
4. Click on the “View Slideshow” link.
5. When the slideshow loads, roll your cursor near the bottom of it and a small control panel will appear.
6. Click on the “Share” button near the right side of the control panel.
7. The HTML code will appear, then click the “Copy” button.
8. Now paste that code on another site where you want the slideshow to be displayed.
9. That’s it!

Please let us know if you have any trouble,

Here is an example using the "Featured" slideshow:

The same can be done with your photos on another site or another social network profile such as myspace or facebook. We have already seen many members taking advantage of this feature such as Nick Karvounis, Donald Mark, Wei-che Wu, kRiZcPEc (used in the footer of the site), Raluca Mateescu, and many more...

If you have used a slideshow or badge from PictureSocial on another site (or would like to use one now), please feel free to share a link to the site in a response to this discussion (below) and share how you chose to implement it. I'm sure other members would be interested to see (as are we).

Thanks!
PictureSocial Admins.

Here is another cool use of it by Kristi Hartley: My Yellow Umbrella.
These slideshows are super cool! I just put one on my myspace profile :)
Hi Kelly ! We are two stoners from Bucharest and we saw your article about How to Switch Faces in Photoshop CS4 and we saw your picture and think that you are so pretty. We think : Why should not tell her that? Kisses from Bucharest and best whishes!!!
The slideshow is wonderful ! I am new here and it is what attracted me to the site, it will be of great use to me, I would like the ability to make it auto loop without stopping, could that be possible?
Thanks picture social !
I just checked out David Hobcote's website, and he used a PictureSocial slideshow in a really creative way to fit the design of his site. He actually changed the dimensions of the slideshow to be very wide in order to fill a large section of his website. To see it, go to his site and then click on "slideshow of recent images" Hobcote Studios
