Hi there,
I'm from Japan. Recently, I got wedding session. I have been trying to retouch the bride's double chin.
If you have any experiences, please let me know your way.

Thank you.

I am not seeing the double chin. I would smooth out the colour on her neck in the first one. There are techniques to change the shape in part of a photo. What technique and how successful it is probably depends on the software package you are using. In PS is is the Liquify Filter, you can use Google to find tutorials about it.

How far you go with that depends on your client. I adjusted the eyes in a photo of my niece and her mother thought it was great. I did something similar to a photo of another sister-in-law and she did not like it, she preferred the original because she wanted it to look like what she saw in the mirror.
Thank you, Sir.

I totally agree. Photography in Chinese character means what mirror as is. I don't want to retouch or cheat photo. But some of clients push to do that. As you said, it's depends.

Anyway, thank you for your comments.
Hi Jim,
i retouched one of your images, i posted the before and after example below.
Personally i stay clear of the Liquify Filter and prefer to accent with light and shadow (dodge and burn) as you would when drawing.
Use d and b on 3 percent, mostly set on midtones with 'protect texture'
On parts of the chin use the clone tool to re-map the features.
A site that i hang around on a lot is: retouchpro.com you'll find tutorials on most facial retouching over there and many examples - best thing is to ask the question there and you'll get a quick response
I went a little further than just the chin including curves, highpass filter and lighting :-)))

Before

After

Hi Gary,

Thank you for your time. It's good to me. Not only do I use Liquify Filter, but I do dodge and burn tool. Should be 3% opparsity. I'll try one more time.

Thank you, again
Here's my cut at retouching "0010." I used the lasso tool to isolate sections I used the 'Liquify' filter on so as to not adversely distort areas that need to stay the same. Then I did a little cloning to remove blemishes and one of the creases in the back/side of her neck. I also added a layer where I re-colored a patch of skin discoloration at the hairline. I did this by sampling the skin color near the area and painting over the discoloration with the opacity set at 13%. I also used the 'Dodge' tool to lighten the teeth, eye whites, and the catchlight in the eyes.

All told, I reduced the neckline under the chin, reduced the right cheek line to enhance her cheekbone; removed blemishes; a skin crease; reduced a hairline skin discoloration; and lightened the teeth, eye whites, and catch-light in the eyes.

Here's the resulting shot.

Mike :)
Here's my cut at "0005." I did the same sort of manipulations as I described for the "0010" shot.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your time. I see your way. That's great job done. I really appreciate it.
I'll try this.

Thanks again.

Jim
Hi Mark,
thank you for your comments.
I know I have to consider the position, lighting, and etc., before retouching photos.
I need more experiences as a photographer.

I'll do my best to take pix. Thanks, anyway.

Hi Rob,
Thank you for your time. You have done well.
Portrait professional, I saw it on the web ad. Is it easy to use? I get to have one.

I like your way.

Thank you do much.
hi there,
yeah it's realy easy each one of these shots only took a couple of minutes to do.
the only problem i find is i must ask people to remove there glasses when i shoot. this programme is advertised in digital slr magazine UK based. good luck
Try having those wearing glasses turn their head slightly or lift the arms of the glasses about half an inch at the ears.

"Thanks John !..the crispness surprised me somewhat as i had used a 13mm close-up/macro extension tube attached to a 50mm Prime, the shot didn't need any sharpening in PS either. Oh, and no not yet, though i keep trying.. lol !!.."
