If the pictures you are now taking are good why would you switch. Equipment has never improved anyones photographs. The D60 is a very good camera. Unles you just have an itch that won't be scratched any other way it seems like a waste of resources to go out and buy a new camera if what you are using is working for you.
i think your right :)

so at the mo all i have is a standard 18-55mm lens...im looking for some more versatile lenses....macro..telephoto?
I have an extra lens 55 - 200 that I find very good, maybe a liitle more than 200 would be good, not sure. Be interested to see what others think.
I find the D60 a great camera and still have heaps to learn. Hope this helps a little
Keep it, buy a lens. 70-200 vr 2.8 will make more of a difference in your photo's than a body
I second this idea. The 70-200 VR 2.8 is an awesome telephoto lens.
ok thanks for the advice...when it comes to macro lenses...which ones would you recommende!
What you are going to take pictures of would determine the lens that you need but you will not go far wrong with the Nikon 105mm f2.8G AF-S VR IF ED
My primary lens system is made by Nikon, but I own a Tamron system that fits everything else. A 2x teleconverter usually gets me by on most close up work. Although I have friends who swear off teleconverters I find that they are not a negative factor in my work.

I do own both the 90mm macro and the 180 macro by Tamron and the unique charactaristics that ea. brings to my work is extraordinary. I would not be the one to recommend one or the other, as I do not have your unique vision.

Only the artist knows what he/she will need on their pallette as they grow. My advice is to see these lenses for yourself and "test drive" them at the local camera store and then choose which might suit your needs.

The D60 is a great camera. Had one also ;-) Unless you REALLY have to upgrade, I'd say keep it and get a nice set of lens :-)
I've also heard great things about the D60.
i also have a nikon D60 and the guy at the store told me tha a quite good lens and inexpensive too is the Sigma 70-300mm
its around 170-180 euro doesnt have VR i think but it is the photographer and not the equipment tha will make the shot
and VR wont prevent blurry pictures it wil just help a little
It is not the camera that makes the difference but lenses that are f/2.8 down to f/1.4

"Thanks John !..the crispness surprised me somewhat as i had used a 13mm close-up/macro extension tube attached to a 50mm Prime, the shot didn't need any sharpening in PS either. Oh, and no not yet, though i keep trying.. lol !!.."
