What is a lensbaby and what is the use and its effects?
This is something I am wondering about for a week now.
Thanks,

It is easy to find out about the lensbaby.

With most cameras the plane of focus is parallel to the sensor/film plane, and the position of the lens is fixed. Some cameras, such as view cameras, and some lenses, such as tilt-shift lenses, allow this to be changed. It can be used to adjust focus, DOF, and perspective. Some photographers have modified normal lenses to get these features. They attach a light tight, flexible tube between the lens and body. If you google "DIY plunger lens" you will find all sorts of articles.

A Lensbaby is just a commercially manufactured version of this. Some Lens babies also use simple, archaic lens designs to get the look of old, simple lenses (soft in the corners, etc...).

"Thanks John !..the crispness surprised me somewhat as i had used a 13mm close-up/macro extension tube attached to a 50mm Prime, the shot didn't need any sharpening in PS either. Oh, and no not yet, though i keep trying.. lol !!.."
