Your landscape shots look pretty good! You may wish to explore a couple of things on your wedding shots:
(1) For the ring shot, use a larger f stop to narrow the DOF. I noticed you used 5.6. Try F4 or even 2.8 if your lens allows it. Your main subjects are the bride & groom. The minister is secondary.
(2) For the dance shot, get lower, or at least pan down. If you could see more of their bodies and less dead space above their heads, you'd have greater interest in the shot.
I commend you on some great clarity! All of your shots are crystal clear. Great work!
That was very fast, Just two days back you wanted to return your camera and today you are posting beautiful pictures taken by you with that same camera. i am very happy i am sure you are aswell.

I do have a tripod from my old Minolta. I was happy to find that it works on my new Nikon D40 and my old Nikon p500. I put the P5000 on a tripod and took fireworks photos. I will attach some
Very nice photos! Love the fireworks shots! I recently bought an Olympus E3, but did not get a chance to try and get some fireworks shots. You live in a very beautiful part of the country. I love to shoot along the Columbia River as well as your great coastline. Looking forward to taking some photos along Gold Beach soon. Enjoy your new camera!
