New to Picture social

Hi, just joined Picture social and looking for advice on setting up photography business. Have been a keen photographer for over 20 years but only got serious about taking better pictures a couple of years ago when I decided to go digital. Done a portrait course and a general digital course and have experience in photographing events -sports, parties and airshows, and have done a couple of weddings for relatives. Am trying to get a stock portfolio going on istockphoto.com and theimagefile.com but it is slow going at the moment.
Any advice/help most appreciated, as would be any opportunities to gain experience helping out another photographer at shoots. Get in touch and let me know...
