I have always enjoyed taking pictures and really would appreciate some feedback on my photos as I am ready to get a lot more serious about this hobby. Has anyone taken any online courses they thought were beneficial. If you have a moment, please check out my pics and tell me what you like or don't like
Thank you,
Linda

It could use some guidance when you shoot indoors or in shade, as you have unruly shadows on some of the captures. Your horizons are generally even, and most of the photos adhere to the rule of thirds. Your focus and DOF are good on most photos, but you could definately benefit from some reading on both subjects. Just wondering if you edited any of your shots or if they are SOTC(straight out of the camera)? I have never had formal photography training, but as a student, I can vouch for online learning, as I have had 3 online courses so far.
Thank you Paul. Very much appreciated. I will definitely read up on lighting, focus and DOF. I have not gotten to the "editing" part of this hobby yet so these are SOTC. I was planning to experiment with Photoshop Elements soon. I have always loved taking pictures and people have always complimented my pics but mostly friends and family. Taking photography classes, and becoming a better photographer, have been on my bucket list since I was very young. I love to write also and hope to incorporate the two one day. What classes have you taken? Looks like the New York Institute of Photography is advertised heavily on this forum. Thanks again.
