Hi,

You are off to a nice start. Looks like your friends are very cooperative models for you also.

The first shot is nice, the composition is off a little. I might have tried the shot at a slightly different angle so the the sun is not right behind them but it needs a different crop to comply to the rule of thirds to make it more interesting. The couple is too centered. Here is a slightly different crop.

The second shot is nice and I know you like the reflection but there is too much space at the top and the horizon of the trees is distracting. Here is my crop and I cloned out the slight bit of tree reflection that was left in the top left corner.

The third shot has too much space around it and needs to be more in the rule of thirds ( you came close). There are many interesting ways to crop it but I tried a very close crop and I think it makes the picture pop more. Also you have on board flash burn on her face. Try to get an off board flash or an alternative light source or use a diffuser on the flash.

The next picture I thought would be more effective in a B&W because of her expression. More dramatic.

The next one I gave her just a little bit more of a crop . It would have been nice to include all of her hands in the shot but since they are cut off at the fingers I thought it might look better to crop just above the hand.

I hope you do not mind my crops on your work.
Okay, for some reason the other two crops I posted are not showing. They might later but I will try to re post them again.

The first image could be shot slightly lower so your models heads are above the horizon and a little closer in.
As Marica has already pointed out watch your compositions on these wider images.
Cheers,
Simon

Here is an alternate crop I like better than Marcia's suggestion, which I think may have too much dark on the right. This crop is tighter and taken from the left to put your couple onto the third line on the right with their heads at the upper right power point.

I don't think anyone has addressed the building. I think it would be better to get further away from the building if possible so the view is more square on. Also, there is a lot of shine from the side with the mural. This view has had an effect similar to a polarizer filter, but if you have a filter you can get a better result in the camera.

I like CameraClicker's crop, would just like to add that, as a general rule, it might be better to get the horizon straight.
