Hi everyone - I'm from Lancashire, England. I've been interested in photography since the early 90's and bought my first DSLR (Nikon D50) a couple of years ago. I recently splashed out on a Nikkor 55-200 lens and am having a whale of a time using it - especially with all the snow that's been around recently. I love b&w photography and mainly like to take photos of nature and anything rusty, peeling or falling apart - anything that can be termed "arty farty"! I particularly like anything that falls into the category of industrial decay. I've just started a Photoshop (Elements) online course and am having fun (most of the time when I'm not pulling my hair out) learning the basics - I have a long, long way to go! Hoping to learn lots of tips and tricks on this group and maybe, in the future, sharing some of my pics.
If we had a keen vision and feeling
of all ordinary human life,
it would be like hearing the grass grow
and the squirrel's heart beat
and we should die of that roar
which lies on the other side of silence.
