I would like to know if the nikon d60 has the ability to bracket manually or automatically the photos in order to take HDR images

From memory I do not think the D60 has an auto bracket, so you will have to do it manually. Few choices, shoot in NEF and use photoshop to alter the file and merge the altered images, or shoot several shots, of the same scene and use Photomatix to merge the shots but make sure you use a tripod to take those shots.
I see- Its a shame my camera doesn't have auto bracket.
