Permalink Reply by CameraClicker on August 11, 2011 at 4:39pm I have several ideas regarding how to display photos. Before exploring them, tell us more about what you have in mind. As Ryan points out, you can upload them here, and at 200 a day, you will have them all on line in 6 days.
If your plan is to sell photos from a web page, or to restrict viewing of a group of photos to one specific customer, then you might be better off building galleries on your own web space. You can get suitable space from most hosting companies and many of those offer power tools to help you set things up. That method provides the most professional appearance.
On my own page I just display photos for fun but I wanted a specific look, so it is built entirely from HTML. Some of the code is hand written and the rest is generated by a program I wrote to build display pages from a spreadsheet, which allows me to add captions and titles easily.
Permalink Reply by Papa Rotzzi on August 12, 2011 at 4:19am What is the goal? Are you trying to create a gallery for people to look at your photos or are you trying to create a space for people to purchase? If purchase, do you plan to have somebody else print and fulfill the orders, or do you want to do that yourself? Are you a photographer or a webmaster?.. there are lots of sites where you can drop your photos in and let the site do the work.. or you can create your own site from scratch.
Let us know more about the destination and we can point you to the path..
Permalink Reply by Lynn Brennan on August 29, 2011 at 10:40am I use a site called Zenfolio. It stores your photos so they can be viewed and ordered by others. Their prices are pretty reasonable and their customer service is phenomenal. Sometimes uploads are a bit slow, after I shoot a wedding I will begin the batch upload and just let it run overnight.
Here's my site LynnBrennanPhotography.zenfolio.com
