Orchid and Flags

I would like comments from the group about these two photos. Although I have taken photographs as a REALTOR for many years, I have a real desire to learn more about photograph. I am trying to learn tips and how to better my technique and knowledge.

Gena, Both pictures are fine. The one of the flags is more of a record shot. I especially like the orchids with the off camera lighting.

What do you mean by a 'record' snot? I am glad you like the picture of the orchids. It is one of my favorites also.
