Hello, what is that with passion, this feeling can give you wings and makes you feel happy. But than there is the 'reason'. An example, you see the camera of your dreams, but it's very expensive. Your hart says, buy that thing, your mind says : who's going to pay for that?
Every passionate person has to make this kind of choices now and than, what is your reaction on this? Are you someone who give in to your heart, or is it 'reason' that wins this battle. Or have you find a solution to keep the church in the middle...? I'm curious about your experiences.
PS - I'm new on this site, please feel free to visit my portfolio and let me know what you think...
Thanks for the reply, I know exactly what you mean. I was a person mainly driven by the right sight of his brains, this got me into trouble. After some hard work on myself, I think there is now a balance between left and right. Also I studied Promotion and publicity (98%), so I know something about that.
You asked me some remarks on your photography. Let me tell you only 3% of your pictures are worth keeping (every serious photographer knows this figure). I always say, 50% of hard work and 50% of luck, in other words the harder I work the more I get lucky. Lucky in this case means going home with some splendid pictures on you memory card. Be hard on yourself, try to look at every aspect, composition, techs and emotional value. In general all these have to be in balance (there are, as always, exceptions).
I will comment some of your pictures, maybe this can help you a little bit. Use your instinct while photographing, act as a hunter, you'll know when you've maid a masterpiece. But the search for the perfect picture is a lifetime occupation. Jan
