I hope I am putting this in the right discussion section, but I was wondering about books with tutorials, learning aids etc on Photoshop CS4 (which ones are good, which ones are terrible). I need to find a book that includes advanced techniques. Although I am not really a fan of buying books like this, I don't have a choice and have to find one (as required) for my independent study in university. I've looked up books online, but I have found that it is really hard to tell quality, and skill level from the few reviews I've found (and most reviews are really just advertisements in disguise *sad*).
Thanks!!
Katie, the other book that I currently use, and that has had great reviews, is Photoshop CS4: The Missing Manual by Lesa Snyder King. It really "cuts to the chase"!
I have the Missing Manual as well and love it..also just got Scott Kelby's CS4 for Digital Photographers..cant wait to dig into it, I plan to also buy his Down and Dirty tricks book too..he's awesome..any Scott Kelby stuff is well worth it..plus you can get DVDs and online training from his site! I will invest in that someday as well!! Great stuff!
