That's ridiculous! If it were really seriously enforced 2/3, or more, of all photographs ever exposed would be destined for the celestial bit bucket! Sounds like the hoax Rush Limbaugh ran on his radio show years ago where the ugly weren't allowed to call in. If this is serious, then the Long Beach Police are setting themselves up for a monster
1st Amendment lawsuit. Truthfully, it sounds like one of the hoax articles in "The Onion", a political satire magazine, with just enough truth to make it believable but enough farce to make it a good joke.

This was a real story. It also happened in Scotland at the Glasgow international airport. A man was taking pictures of his daughter in the terminal and was taken into custody by plain clothes security officers who demanded that he delete the pictures in the interest of national security. He raised a stink about it and eventually took the story to Fox News. These stories are no joke.
