PROBLEM WITH MEMORY STICK

Hi Everyone
I am having a problem with the memory stick in my sony cyber shot
When I turn on the camera it says memory stick locked
What can I do or is it that I need a new stick

On the back of your memory stick, there is a little switch that says "Lock". This may have been inadvertently moved while handling the stick. Just move the switch in the opposite direction of the arrow. See this link for a picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_Stick
