I am thinking about expanding my flash power to purchasing a T5D Q flash for off camera at receptions and location work. I currently have a 580EXII and a 550EX and a canon 5d MarkII.
Will my pocket wizards fire the T5D and my 580II if they are both off camera on 2 separate light stands? I just don't want to have to also purchase the freeXwire transmitters that go with the Q flash.
I have also read some people say I should just buy a used T2 and save money.... what is the advantage of the newer t5D??
There seems to be so many different parts and pieces than need to be purchased to have full use of the Q flash.. i'm confused. If anyone can shed some 'light' on this subject.. the Q flash rebate ends tonight.. so I want to decide NOW :-)
I can not speak to the T5D, but my 550ex's are triggered by PW's and paramount cords- The Paramount cord has a hot shoe on one end and a PC Sync on the other that plugs into the PW- I am sure there is some type of cord that would do the same for the T5D- google paramount cords- I think they have a help tool to figure out what you need.
Thanks.. I just ordered the flash and 2x2 turbo battery... I'll also check out Paramount.. I have ordered from them before.... good idea.. but I think I'll wait till the new Q flash arrives and see how it all works and what I will need. THANKS
