If you want your signature, rather than just text in some font, then:
Take a marker like a Sharpie and a sheet of white paper;
Put your signature on the paper as large as you comfortably can;
Scan or photograph the signature;
Open the scan/photo with your photo editing software and erase the background leaving the signature;
Save the photo;
If you want the signature to be a different color, you can paint it or replace the color, whichever gives the better looking result with your photo editing software. Save the file with a different name.
To put the signature on a picture, open the picture with your photo editing software and make any adjustments required;
Save your work with a different name (not required but a good practice);
Add a layer and open the signature photo in that layer, resize the signature if required;
Arrange the layers so the signature layer is on top of the photo and visible;
Flatten the layers and save the photo with a new name.
This covers the basic steps but is pretty generic since different photo editing packages require different work flow. If you tell us what software you use, perhaps someone familiar with that package can give precise steps.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question step by step. I'm using Photoshop Elements 7 as my editor and I'm fairly new at it. Have you used this software? Does anyone else know how to do signatures on this software?
Vito if you do a search for how to create a copyright brush you will find lots of ways to do it a brush is best as you can use it over and over again hope this helps, Tony.
