Hi.....My name is Nancy.....I have a rebel t1i with Tamron lenses 10-24 & 18-270. I shoot mainly landscape. Have been thinking of adding another lense...any suggestions. Price range has to stay somewhere close to $500. I'm looking for different effects outside of doing them PP. Anyone have any info on the lensbaby's outside of the reviews I've read? If not those, I'm thinking of a prime lense with an f stop of 2.8 or 1.4. Any suggestions appreciated....thanks
Nancy i shoot landscapes and the sigma wide angle 10-20mm is never off my camera. If you want to try some new thing you should look at 'stitching' some panoramas. Its lots of fun and you can use the lenses you have and the computer does all the work.
Hi again and thanks for the replies.....as I mentioned I do like shooting landscapes ......I also like shooting at night and was thinking of trying a lense with a lower f stop. Some of those canon primes are more in my price range at the moment. I know I won't be getting the wide angle as I do with the 10-24 , but when I zoom in using the 18-270, I am changing that 18 and upping it close to 30mm, right? I was thinking of the canon 50mm 1.8f or the 85mm.Those lenses would be around 35mm wide....am I on the right track with this? I want to try for as little pp as possible. I want to get better at knowing what set the camera at. I purposely took this camera to the park the other night to practice with the ISO settings. I was surprised at how well the pics looked at 1600...I used the manual setting as well. Are you better off with lenses that have a lower f stop as you wouldn't have to up the ISO so high or shutter speed slow? I don't think these are dumb questions....I want to get the best I can out of this camera....then mess around with the editing...thanks for any input...nt
