So, does anyone use it? If so what are your thoughts? I downloaded the demo and the effects are pretty cool, but I am having a few reservations. Mainly because applies default effects, I can't help but to think that its cheating somehow. I'm still fairly new to photo editing and I am discovering tons of photoshop plugins. Any advice on which plugins are worth it would be greatly appreciated, along with your experiences with Topaz brand plugins.

I also have both but only use Topaz. When I looked at your portfolio I think I found the reason for the difference. We are interested in different subjects and have developed different styles. Critics can argue about the results, but differences do make sense when put in the proper context. A sports cars is only better than pickup when you don't have to haul stuff.

Permalink Reply by Dora Williams on January 1, 2012 at 11:51am Jack I too am a Topaz user. I wasn't particularly impressed with OnOne, I LOVE their frame program though and will purchase that. One of the reasons I like Topaz is that (I own the full suite) when they upgrade it's free for me so I don't have to keep spending money every time I turn around!! That being said, I use PS, Lightroom, Topaz, Filter Forge, Totally Rad Actions or any other thing that works for me!! But then again, my work is a blend of photography, art and graphic design! Hmm. A little ADD!
Permalink Reply by Richard Deane on January 1, 2012 at 5:05pm I use Topaz and Nik plugins, though rarely using the default settings. Even then I tend to use layers in CS5 to get the effects I'm after. In my opinion you can never have too many tools.
Permalink Reply by Tiffany Smith on January 7, 2012 at 10:11am I don't feel that using Topaz would be cheating because if it is then every editing program would be cheating. Cheating is when you take a large person and slim them down to a stick thin figure or vice versa using an editing program. Cheating is when you take a run down house and make it look like a mansion in an editing program. I feel that "plug-ins, action, effects, etc" are just enhancing a picture
