I feel like I'm the only one in the world using one. Perhaps I should trade it and go Canon or Nikon. But I love the way the Sony Alpha slr takes photos. I feel left out. Anyone out there using one also???

I know how you feel!!
I too have an Alpha (700) and love it but cant stand the snobbery that some Nikon/Cannon users have towards the "new kid on the block"!!.
Enjoy your camera safe in the knowledge that Sony being the brand that is will go from strength to strength over the next few years.
Thanks Chris. I do feel a whole lot better. Knowing that Sony users are still around! =] BTW, great pictures!
No you're not the only one using a Sonly Alpha SLR. I purchased a Sony Alpha 300 DSLR and truely love it. I purchased the Sony system because I was able to use my lenses from my Minolta Maxim 7000 film camera and not have to spend a fortune rebuilding my system from the ground up again. Just because its not a well known brand doesn't mean it won't do the job. Take some time and get to know it. After some time you still find it doesn't have the features and ability to suit your needs then look for another system.

Best of Luck
Stephen.
Yea I kind of thought that. But the only reason why I was feeling this way is because the rental stores up here don't carry it. And plus, all other photographer friends I know have something else. Well I do stick out but in a good way. Plus, I do love my Sony Alpha, I feel it fits well and suits me well.

Thanks!
I absolutely love Sony! Have had the 707, 717, 828, now the A900 that is the ultimate! What other people think of the Sony A900 does not bother me....it is the results that count. And, from a camera dealers mouth to me, he stated the chip inside the Nikon is made by Sony with a certain amount of tweeking and the dealer told me I would get alot more for my money with the Sony.....I did not even ask for his opinion...had already made up my mind, but found it interesting anyway....Hold on the the Sony! Also, love the Carl Zeiss lens!
Well I'm jealous! I would love to get the A900 but I'm gonna wait til I am more advance. And great tip!

Thanks!
Not only is Sony the only cameras I use, it would be my recomendation and has been to others. The quality is very high as far as a product goes, dependability unmatched. You will find a lot of the more popular brands use Sony products in their cameras. Especially the sensors which is the heart of the camera....I would recomend you hang in there with SONY...You'll be glad you did. AP
And I am! I've been shooting for a while with the Sony Alpha and I love it. I feel it's my type of camera I would use. though other people have their Canons and Nikons (not that I'm saying those are bad) but I feel it's my place to own a Sony. Thanks!
Never trade off a Sony!!! I have one older Sony (3.5 floppy model) that I actually
dropped from a cliff, It took me an hour to climb down to the ledge where it landed,
Picked it up and it never missed a click, I've had several other brands over the years
but NOTHING has the toughness of a Sony when doing nature shots.
Cool story! I'm happy with my Sony!

Thanks!
I have always used Sony cameras and have had great results. I am currently using a DSC-H50 and it is a fantastic piece of equipment. I am considering moving to DSLR in the next few days and most likely purchase one of the Sony Alpha's. I have no doubt that is will turn out to be a great camera for me.
Definitely use one if you want. I feel so comfortable around mine, I think I'll stick to mine for a long time.
