Jess.....first thing u can attend ur friends/relatives weddings and take photographs and give some enlargements as ''gift''.... here we give ad in local news papers....put our handbills/banners at friends' photoshop......distribute handbills thro some boys hired for the time being or give to local newspaper agent, who puts 2-3 handbills in each newspaper, so they automatically reach people's homes......if u can afford hoardings, put at some important place with the permission of local administration.....have glowsign boards at some places or friends shops.......u can prepare a Brochure, printing ur best photographs and distribute to known/unknown people....on hotel counters with due permission.....from these u can have ur own ideas created for expanding ur wedding photography.

Have you shot many weddings before?
I might go to the local event centers,caterers, djs, bridal shops,etc and leave a portfolio or album for them to show and or strike a deal with them(you recommend me and I will you).
There are hundreds if not thousands of wedding/bridal sites and mags. You need to choose the one(s) that best suit your market / area.
Word of mouth has worked well also.

Hi Jess, doing wedding photography you can meet a lot of people & friends. I doing wedding photography almost then 6 years in Malaysia. For me for serching customer, firstly you must have sample album. Because people more confident when saw sample album than showing picture by using laptop. For beginer in this industry, attending among nephwes and friends its a good way for start your promotion. Ha.. one more you need to be creative when do wedding photography used story telling photo for atract people more.. good luck my friend.

adding more related photography products are really a big help in boosting your marketing.

aside photography and videography, i also included digital albums and others.....
