What can I do with my SIGMA 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG MACRO lens?

I did enjoy this lens. The sound of the AF didn't really matter to me even the speed. I tried some outdoor shots and it was great. :) I was thinking, what pictures can I take with a 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens? I'm just really used to wide angled lenses. By the way, can anyone share their experience with this kind of lens?
