I am using D5000, which Lens is good for low light photography? And, which one is best for night shooting in the city and traffic? Thanks..

Something with a wide aperture. If you want light streaks, go with a small aperture and a tripod and a slow shutter speed.
I have a 35mm 1.8 that works pretty good in lower situations. Just make sure you bring your tripod. Good luck
Use the kit len, tripod and slow shutter ( 15 sec) will give a nice city shot with a straight hint of light from the moving traffic.
