How the 7-DAY CHALLENGE works
Every week the winner of the previous challenge will choose his/her own topic and start a new challenge stating the date when the challenge will close.
These challenges will be a week long starting from Monday and ending on the next Monday.
Every week the winner of the challenge will be awarded a trophy. At the end of the year the member with the most number of trophies will be awarded “PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR”.
If you enter challenges we strongly recommend that you will take the time to comment on photos of other participants.
For these challenges only new shots are to be posted. Shots taken before the launch of a new challenge will be automatically disqualified. So please NO ARCHIVE SHOTS.
Below are the rules and information how to enter challenges!!!
How to Enter the Current Challenge
Scroll down to the "Discussion Forum" and look for the current challenge.
Click on the current challenge, there you will see what the host has chosen as a topic and any guidelines they may have listed.
Directly underneath the challenge description is a box, this is where you label your entry insert your photo for your entries. Do not add them as attachments please!
Pay attention to the dates of the challenge realizing that if you are selected the winner you go onto to host the next challenge. If you know you will not be available then please enter only NEs.
How to Start a New Challenge
Scroll down to the bottom of the "Discussion Forum" and look just below the line border, you will see "+ Add a Discussion", click on that.
You then will have a new page "Add a Discussion" and will be prompted in the first box for a "Discussion Title", the best way is to list the topic of your challenge (Flowers, Cars, Windows, etc.) followed by the dates of the challenge, time and time zone. EXAMPLE: "Roads & Paths" - 10/1 thru 17/1.
In the next box, titled "Post" add a description of what you are looking for or not looking for, more detail on your topic and post some photos of examples. EXAMPLE: For this challenge I would like to see your photographs of wildlife …
Selecting a Winner
Start a new discussion, DO NOT alter the title of the challenge to announce winners. Your "Discussion Title" should have the word "Winner" included in it. EXAMPLE: Winners of Landscapes.
3 winners are to be chosen. HMs can also be included. When you list the winners start from the HMs, followed by the 3rd, 2nd and 1st places.
If you are not received email notifications of posts, please make sure you are following the discussion.
