Hi Kacy, I bought over EBay (UK) a lightning set with a continous working light and a flash. It has three lamps, 2 Softboxes, umbrellas and much mor in it and i had my first go onsunday with my wife and me as model. I love the gear and the best, it fits all in one big bag and is stoerd away easy. Look out out for such things. Anyway the first hundred pictures was absolutely crap. I think it does not matter what kind ol light you use, you need to learn to use it - and this is 90% fun and 10% delet^^

My name is Brian Morales. I am from the United States. I am currently living in Ecuador, but will be moving back to the States within two to three months. I love wildlife photography. There is nothing I love more than capturing animals and plants in photgraphs (except my wife and son of course!). I am just starting out in photography and hope to learn as much as possible from you all.

I recently bought my new Canon G11 upgrading from Canon S60 which broke down. No way better to learn than from weekly assignments and group participation..

Hi,

my name is Martina - I am born in Germany and live in South Africa, Western Cape. I bought my camera in Nov. 2008 and never leave her at home. Wherever I go - she goes with. So in all this time I learned a lot -  but never enough. I love landscape - wildlife - portrait - macro....... I am still learning and hope to find lots of information within your group.

Kacy S Comment by Kacy S on January 15, 2011 at 7:01am
Hello Christopher and members! I am a complete amature in photography but absolutely love it.  I really enjoy natural outdoor photography of people - portrait, sports, etc.  However, I am trying to set up my own home studio and am looking at purchasing a lighting kit.  There are two options that seem to keep popping up: Strobe/Flash or Continuous.  I am not sure which one I should purchase for an in-home photography studio.  Please provide any information about what you think would be better for a first home kit.  Thanks so much!

A nice capture, Amanda! (Although I would make my watermark a bit smaller, in my humble opinion.)
