Saw a few pictures on classmates.com that someone had taken of some buttons, using a kalidoscope, I was intrigued by them and thought I'd try it.... Oh my Gracious, I'm hooked! I kalidoscope all kinds of things it's so cool because no two pictures are ever alike. What do ya'll think about them? Like them or not?
Thanks Trisha, his name is Jumpin' Jack Flash and I call him Jack.... I have another one named Callie, and I have a really cool picture of her too. My Neighbors moved off and left her, I call her Callie with the golden eyes... ~Peace~ I'll add a few more....................
I like the photos and you are going in the right direction, looking for the unusual effect. The kalidescope works best on the flowers. I try not to use filters to create my abstarct images, but to find something that is abstract in itself. For me, I try to be a natural as possible with my abstract images. I try not to change much in the digital darkroom. You can do wildly creative things there though and that is fine too.
And a quick mention, your photos take a long time to download so I think you are sending too large a file. Our site works better with smaller photo files.
my favorite is the cat...the focus is great and the streams of blur all point back to cat...the other pictures are too blurry or the pattern is not crisp enough to draw my attention
"I'm not sure if I can help, but I used the 'image' button. It is the second from the left in the Rely Toolbar. There you have an option of taking the photo off your computer or from a URL.
Good Luck
